What this looks like in practice
Ask your agent for the supplemental early, not with the deadline attached. It's usually two to six pages of control questions, and the ones that stall applications are always the same: MFA coverage, restore testing, end-of-life systems, and the payment call-back rule. Seeing it a week ahead turns a panic into a to-do list. Answer it in a document first, then transfer the answers to the form. You'll reuse eighty percent of it at renewal and with the next carrier, and keeping the working copy means next year takes an hour instead of an afternoon.
