About Surable
The internet is full of security templates. It's short on ones built for the application.
Surable exists because small businesses keep getting caught between two bad options: pay a consultant $5,000–15,000 to write documents, or download free templates and hope they match what the carrier meant. The gap in the middle — documents built for the application itself, reviewed by an experienced practitioner and traced to a verified source — is what we build.
The practitioner behind Surable
20 years in IT and information security
Surable is founder-run and deliberately keeps the spotlight on the method, not a personal brand. The work speaks for itself: verified sources, carrier-mapped documents, and a hard honesty rule.
Surable is built and reviewed by a security practitioner with two decades of hands-on IT and security work for small and mid-sized businesses. Every document and recommendation carries an experienced practitioner's review and traces to a verified source — not a faceless template shop, and not a generic AI guessing.
The method is simple and stubborn: every requirement in our knowledge base traces to a primary source — NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls v8.1 IG1, CISA guidance, the carriers' own application forms, and insurance claims data. Every recommendation you see cites where it comes from. A watch process re-verifies those sources weekly, because carrier requirements move.
And one rule outranks everything: we never coach misrepresentation. If a control isn't in place, we show the fastest honest path — fix it, or disclose it accurately with compensating controls. That protects your claim, which is the entire point of having insurance.
Source-verified
Built from NIST, CIS, CISA, carrier applications, and claims data — with provenance on every recommendation, re-verified weekly.
Application-first
Everything maps to the questions underwriters ask. The document isn't the product; the approved application is.
Independent
Not an insurer, broker, or law firm. No commissions from carriers. We work for the business filling out the form.
