Single sign-on (SSO)

One secure login that gives access to many apps, so there are fewer passwords to steal or reuse.
SSO lets employees sign in once (usually through Microsoft 365 or Google) and reach many connected apps without separate passwords. It reduces password sprawl and gives you one place to enforce MFA and shut off access.
Why it's on your cyber insurance application
Not usually asked by name, but it's the answer to several questions at once. Carriers ask how access is granted and removed and whether MFA covers your applications, and SSO is how a small business makes both answers true without a login spreadsheet.
What this looks like in practice
If your team signs into a dozen tools with a dozen passwords, SSO is the consolidation worth doing first. Connect the apps that hold real data to your Microsoft or Google account, and two things follow: MFA covers them automatically, and offboarding becomes one switch instead of a dozen you'll forget.
